I wanted to write and let you know how happy I am with my new family. They changed my name from Gino to Monte in honor of where I came from (El Monte), and a hiking trip my Mom and Granddad just completed.
I love my new big sister, Jasmine. I follow her everywhere. She has been good about showing me the ropes and we have lots of fun running, digging, wrestling and playing all day long. We are good about sharing most of our toys, but I stay away from two of her favorites because they are special to her.
Mom and I started "doggie school" last week and I have already learned sit, down, and come. I have to work on "stay" as sometimes I just can't resist getting up and causing some sort of mischief (Grandma calls me her little rascal).
Here are some pictures of me and Jazz playing in the back yard, digging in my designated "dig spot", and getting ready for dinner. Tell all my cohorts at Beagles and Buddies that I miss them and hope that they find a nice home just like me!
