RELEASING YOUR DOG(S) TO BEAGLES AND BUDDIES

We do our best to be a community resource an asset but unfortunately cannot accept all the dogs offered to us.

We can give training tips, referrals, ideas, suggestions and even board your dogs temporarily. Unfortunately we can only accept the dogs we feel we can make a lifelong commitment to and find a good home for.

We are "no kill" so once a dog reaches B&B, s/he is safe for life. We will accept the return of any dog adopted from us, for any reason, for the rest of his/her life.

If you do wish us to consider accepting your dog, here is what we need via email:

1. A fully completed "release form" - to download the form, click here (We cannot respond to incomplete forms).

2. Submit at least five recent photos: full face, sitting, standing, other interesting poses with nice backgrounds...with toys or lying on bed. This helps us so much.

Please attach the completed form and photo, and email to [email protected].

Again, we cannot reply to incomplete forms.

We reply as promptly as possible - usually the same day or within 24 hours.

Unsure about whether to give up your dog or not?
Here are some alternatives and help:

Pet owners who do have to place their pets (either with a person or organization) as a last resort may want to consider having a microchip and/or tattoo registered in their name as either a primary or alternate contact just in case the adopter turns out to be irresponsible or unable to keep the pet confined.
