Success Stories

Big David

Hello all at B&B!

It's Tracy, and I just wanted to give you an update on Big David (Boomer)

He is doing so great! He has turned out to be an awesome and SCARY watchdog! It wasn't a must have when we were looking for a dog, but it is a welcome trait. He's so protective over us, it makes me feel very safe when my daughter and I are home alone.

He's not all serious though, because once we introduce him properly to people, he's very sweet and loves the attention. He loves to play, and likes it when we chase him and try to take his toys away and also loves tug of war. I have started taking him with me for short rides in the car, and he's getting really good at sitting still and enjoying the ride.

We are so curious why he was given away in Georgia, he is such a great dog. We always sit and wonder why someone didn't want him. My husband says he was probably a hunting dog but was given away because he was afraid of shotgun fire. I think maybe he was a handful and the people got in over their heads. I think if people read about what a good dog he is, more of the coonhounds would get adopted faster.

Here is a picture of Big David climbing our tree. He stayed up there for the longest time looking for a lizard he chased up there, I think he found some mouse nests in all the pine needles bunched up there. He is very entertaining!
