Hi Beagles and Buddies,
We are writing to give an update on Waylon, who we adopted on July 17th, 2004. Waylon is a joy to have and has settled into his new home very well. He loves his new backyard and his tail went up immediately when we went into the yard. Waylon got a chance to visit with his new sister Molly, our Bichon Frise, at the Beagles and Buddies site in El Monte when we came down to pick him up. They got along well, and Molly has welcomed the new member of our family.
Waylon is fascinated by our cats, Muggsy in particular. He wants to play with her and nudges her to try to get her to run so he can chase her! Of course, she won't cooperate with his plan (she is a cat you know!).
We are very happy with Waylon coming into our family and he has proved to be a gentle giant. He has figured out how to sneak up onto the bed from his mat after we have fallen asleep. It is amazing how a dog that big can sneak up so quietly and gently! We wake up in the morning, and there he is sleeping with us.
Thanks to everyone at Beagles and Buddies for their help in selecting the newest member of our family and for the great work they do saving these wonderful creatures.
